In keeping with’s mission to revitalize communities and provide affordable housing, leverages the National Community Stabilization Trust’s “first look option” which allows approved Community Buyers to purchase foreclosed properties directly from the secondary market.

As an approved Community Buyer, we are able to purchase the distressed properties before they are made available to the public. Once purchased, we rehabilitate the properties and sell them to low-and-moderate income households.

By putting deserving families into homes that they can afford, we are able to revitalize neighborhoods across South Florida and help consumers realize their dream of homeownership.

This unique property in Historic Northwood had been vacant for some time when purchased it through the “First Look” program.

Renovating the property to the standards of the historic district made for a challenging project. But now, this formerly distressed property has been restored to its original character and is bringing value and charm back to the neighborhood.

The three-bedroom Spanish Mission style home features high ceilings, a great living room, dining room, three bedrooms, and took extra care in combining the modern conveniences of a newer home with the historic charm of the neighborhood. The $32,000 rehab restored many of the original 1926 features, while at the same time included a complete restoration of the original hardwood floors, a new sprinkler system, windows, appliances, kitchen, and tile flooring.

Thanks to and the NCST, their dream to live in this up-and-coming historic district, known for its shopping and hot spots in downtown West Palm Beach area, was achieved affordably.

The entire yard was landscaped and new sod and a sprinkler system was added to make complete the project.
