Get Ready for Swimsuit Season Without Spending a DimeIt’s officially that time of year when everyone suddenly realizes that they might not be quite summer, or swimsuit, ready just yet. Instead of panicking and dropping tons of cash on get fit quick schemes or expensive gym memberships take a look at the tips and tricks below. By incorporating a few healthy habits and lifestyle changes into your schedule now you can make sure that you are swimsuit season ready in no time and you can do it without spending a dime.

Set a Goal

It’s really easy to casually mention that you want to lose a few pounds or fit into that hot bathing suit you saw the last time you were at the mall. However, if you don’t commit to an actual goal then it’s easy to just let that dream go. Whether it’s losing ten pounds by July, toning your abs or firming your butt set a goal and give yourself a date of completion. Once you have the big goal set then break it down into smaller, easier to accomplish, pieces. That way instead of aiming to lose 10 pounds by July, you’re aiming to lose a pound a week. This gives you daily and weekly goals to work on and will make your goal much easier to accomplish.

Eat Fresh

A great way to lighten your load is to lighten your meals. Add more fresh produce to as many meals as possible. A great way to prepare your meals is to aim to fill half your plate with fresh fruits and vegetables. The brightly colored produce is packed with fiber so it’ll not only fill you up, but it’ll also pack a ton of nutrients into your diet and spare you a ton of unnecessary calories.

Drink Water

This is a great tip for any time of year. It seems so easy for us to drink a few sodas or several glasses of sweet tea every day, but when it comes to water it seems impossible to drink 6 to 8 glasses. We tend to forget that water makes our skin glow, fills us up, and can even help reduce the appearance of cellulite. If drinking plain water just seems impossible then try adding some cucumber, lemon, and frozen berries. It’ll add a little natural flavor and make it easier for you to drink more throughout the day.

5 More Minutes

It might not seem like much, especially when you’re pressing snooze for that last 5 minutes, but adding an extra 5 minutes to your workout can make a big difference over time. Start now and by the time summer rolls around you’ll have burned a lot of extra calories in those extra five minutes.

Be Swimsuit Season Ready

While getting that ideal swimsuit body might seem like a goal too far-fetched for you to accomplish, it doesn’t have to be. Start making small changes now and incorporate them into your normal routine and you’ll see results before you know it. And you won’t even have to spend a dime to do it.
